in plain English.
Email is the way to reach us. The details below are plain text — copy them into your mail client.
01Contact details
02Before you write
What to include in a first message.
01
The problem, not the solution
Describe what is going wrong or what you want to become possible. A proposed technical solution is useful, but the underlying problem is what we need first.
02
The current system
Whether something already exists, roughly how it is built, how long it has been running, and who maintains it today.
03
Who uses it
How many people, whether they are staff or customers, and what they are trying to accomplish.
04
Fixed constraints
A deadline, a platform you must remain on, a regulatory requirement, a budget ceiling, or a system you cannot replace.
05
Success criteria
How you would judge, three months after delivery, whether the work achieved what it was meant to.
06
Timing and decision-making
When you would like to start, and who on your side will answer questions during the work.
03What happens next
A short exchange before anything is proposed.
We read your message and reply in English with questions about anything that is unclear. If the work looks like a fit, we suggest a call to go through the detail, and follow it with a written outline of the approach, the assumptions behind it and the parts we consider uncertain.
If it is not a fit, we say so directly. Sending confidential material is not necessary at the first contact — a general description is enough to decide whether to continue.
